Have You Heard The Buzz - Caption Contest #13 Has A Winner!

 I was pretty sure that this pic would squeeze out some great caption ideas, and it did!  After the voting, a clear winner was picked by the will of the people... it's another win for twitter follower @atp4tr.  Congrats on two in a row, and for piling up more AirPigz funny money! 

 Now's a really good time to take notice that the best captions are usually the ones that are short and sharp.  And if you haven't won, or even had one of yours picked to be in the top 5, don't give up, remember this: The greatest oak was once a little nut who held its ground : )

 I didn't really expect so many great caption responses from this pic, but I sure got 'em.  And when the voting was over, twitter follower @atp4tr had clearly been chosen as the winner - good job!

 That adds another $20 AirPigz funny money to his winnings now, which is beginning to add up these days!

 The Stipa-Caproni is one odd looking airplane to say the least.  Didn't fly any better than it looks either, but you just gotta love the people with enough courage to try every idea that runs thru their head!

Caption Contest #11 Back to Back Wins For @tendancer!

 AirPigz twitter follower @tendancer has snagged back to back wins in the Caption Contest - good job!  Another $20 in AirPigz funny money has been earned.

 If we don't get a new winner in the next game though, I promise there'll be a complete investigation into poll-hacking or some other elaborate, unscrupulous plan to sway the votes of innocent people (just kidding).

 I've got some ideas on how to streamline the voting process and make it all a lot easier, though it'll probably involve me having to make some judgment calls to reduce the number of submissions up for vote.  If that happens to upset you, I humbly ask you to get over it : )

 $5 in AirPigz Funny Money has been won in Caption Contest #10 by twitter follower @tendancer.  Hmmm, I guess we got the numbers all lined up on that one!  So congrats, and may you never leave your Cherokee in a tree : )

 As more people are playing the game, I may have to adjust the way it all works.  But, that's a good problem to have.  And hey, keep an eye out (no wait, leave it in) for contest #11 to crack the egg Monday March 9, 2009.

'Caption Contest' #9 And A Two-Time Winner!

 It was just a few weeks back when twitter follower @Captain_Ron was draggin his toes in the dust cuz he thought he'd never win a 'Caption Contest' here at AirPigz.  Now look at him... he's a two-time winner!  Good job, and thanx for showing the world the fine art of persistence.        

 So, now he's already banked up $40 in Airpigz funny money that he'll be able to trade later in the year for cool aviation stuff.  Thanx to everyone for playing once again... and, I'd like to ask that you spread the word on the game, we need more av geeks getting in on the fun : )

 We had our first tie in the voting process, so I called my wife in to straighten things out.  When the dust settled, twitter veteran @ryankeough fetched up yet another win (and $20 AirPigz funny money).  Good job Ryan!

 Twitter follower @Captain_Ron thought he would never win a Caption Contest, but now he has!  Congrats for being voted the winner in a race that went right down to the wire. And of course, tanks for playing : )

 We made it thru Caption Contest #6 with what I admit is probably the funniest caption we've had yet.  I've also gotta say tho, that this here entry was right up to the line of where I'm trying to see this game go...  but, my wife agreed that it didn't 'cross' the line!

 Well, it sure was a lot of work on my part... and full of all kinds of problems, but the new and improved (?) caption contest (game #5) is finally over.  Congrats go out to twitter follower @DaveFlys for being voted the winner!  He just won $20 in AirPigz Bucks : )

 My apologies for the troubles in getting the game to run smoothly this time.  I really am making all this up as I go along.  Thanx to reveryone for playing and for hanging in there as we get it all figured out!  I promise to work hard to try to get the kinks worked out before the next game.

 Picking a winner this time around was really tough... lots of great captions!  Thanx to everyone for playing this time around.  The winner was chosen for being a perfect blend of relevant to the picture, and to the world around us today.  Congrats to DougF for throwing up a real winner (hehe).       

 The first game for 2009 will probably have the newly minted 'AirPigz Bucks' for a prize and if all goes well it'll also come with the tools to let all of you fine people choose the winner via post game poll.  I appreciate everyone getting involved so far and I'm really looking forward to an awesome 2009 with y'all!
